Six months ago, our branch president called me as the branch mission leader in our branch and with no hesitation I accedted the calling. I was so grateful when i was set apart by our branch president.
The calling was not that easy for me, it was a different task, and Brother Go always tell me that being a branch mission leader is great an opportunity. On those times i felt i can’t do it, that i can’t be effective because i lack confidence and feared that others will not listen to me, but @ the end of the day i realized that if i will not ask, i will not receive.
i have remembered in seminary about prophet Nephi who was commanded to obtain the Brass Plates from Laban together with his Brethren. Prophet Nephi accepted the calling even though he knew that it was hard.
Prophet Nephi told us that the Lord will not give us commandments that are beyond our capabilities, but save He shall prepare a way for us to accomplish what He has commanded us.
This seventh verse found in the third chapter of the first book of Nephi, in the Book of Mormon gave me the desire and the inspiration for my new calling in the church.
My concern was being answered and Heavenly Father has answered my prayers through the members of the church, they told me ” KAYA MO YAN!!!!”(in english You can do it!).
I was so grateful that the Lord do prepare everything for us, but sometimes we just ignored it by closing our doors for Him to guide and help us through our negative desires, lack of confidence and even we do not trust Him to help us and we can never enjoy the blessings when we follow his will and learn from his through our callings.
I know that the Lord loves each and everyone of us, He will never leave us in times of need, He provided us friends in the church to help us in our responsibilities and He gave the opportunity to communicate with Him through our prayers.
